Dew Point Designs
Thermal energy audits · North Idaho

Find where your building is losing heat.

Dew Point Designs uses thermal imaging and air-leakage testing to show you exactly where energy is escaping, then gives you a clear, prioritized plan to fix it.

Who we help

We're starting with the places where heat loss hurts most.

Homes

Drafty rooms, high heating bills, ice dams, or a house that never feels comfortable. We find the cause.

Off-grid & cabins

When every watt and every cord of wood counts, a tight building means a smaller system and lower cost.

Overland & RV

Vans, trailers, and rigs lose heat fast. We show you where insulation and seals are failing.

How it works

Simple for you. Detailed where it matters.

STEP 1

Tell us about your place

Share your address, building type, and a year of utility bills. We'll tell you the best time to scan.

STEP 2

On-site inspection

A technician scans with a thermal camera, tests air leakage, and checks the attic, crawl space, and HVAC.

STEP 3

Your report

Annotated thermal photos and findings ranked by impact, explained in plain language.

STEP 4

Fix it, then verify

Use the action plan with any contractor. After the work, we can re-scan to confirm it paid off.

What an audit covers

Not a clipboard walkthrough. Every audit is measured, photographed, and documented.

Thermal imaging

Finds missing insulation, thermal bridges, air leaks, and signs of moisture.

Air-leakage testing

A blower-door test measures how leaky the building is and helps pinpoint where.

Attic & crawl space

Insulation type and condition, ventilation, and moisture risk.

Heating & cooling

Equipment condition, ducts, and filters, plus a look at exhaust fans.

A report you'll actually use

You get a clear document, not a pile of raw photos. View a sample report. Each report includes:

Annotated images

Thermal and regular photos side by side, with the problem marked.

Ranked findings

Sorted by impact and urgency, so you know where to start.

Cost & savings guide

Rough cost and payback for each fix, so you can budget with confidence.

Why we schedule around the weather

Thermal imaging works best when there's about a 10–20°F difference between indoors and outdoors. In North Idaho, that means fall, winter, and early spring are prime time. Book early for the cold months.

Serving North Idaho

Based in Post Falls. Serving Post Falls, Coeur d’Alene, Hayden, and Rathdrum, with the greater Spokane area to follow. Ask us about utility rebates, since your utility may offer incentives for the upgrades we recommend.

Common questions

How long does an audit take?

Plan on a few hours on site for a typical home, depending on size. You don't have to be home the whole time.

How do I prepare?

Move furniture away from exterior walls, and have the heat (or A/C) running for a few hours beforehand. We'll send a short checklist.

Does this work for cabins, off-grid homes, and vans?

Yes. Small and off-grid spaces are a specialty. Heat loss costs the most when energy is limited.

Will you sell me the repairs?

No. We only audit and report, so our advice isn't tied to selling you work. Use any contractor you like.

Do you offer commercial audits?

Not yet. We're starting with homes and small properties. Tell us what you have in the form below.
